The Muncie Children’s Museum is a place for hands-on learning. All group programs are allowed time for exploration, investigation, experimentation and fun in the museum. Programs are adapted according to the Indiana Academic Standards for Science and Literacy, which stress across content areas and the big idea in grade-level curriculum.
All programs are 25-30 minutes long. Each class is allowed one program per field trip. We encourage free time to explore the museum after programs. A confirmation will be sent out regarding your reservation.
Admission Cost
Pre-scheduled group rate (10 or more children)
$5 per person for Museum Exploration
$6 per person for Field Trip Programs: Animal Families, Learn Not To Burn, or Shopping With Shapes.
One adult per 5 children receives free admission.
MCM or reciprocal memberships, MCM Access for All, discount coupons, and free sand art coloring sheets do not apply to group and field trip programs.
FIELD TRIP REGISTRATION
To register for a field trip, please call the museum at 765-286-1660, Wednesday – Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., or complete the Online Registration Form.
To make scheduling quick & easy, please have this information ready:
- Your contact information
- Preferred program
- Preferred date & approximate time
- Number of students & chaperones
- School name
- Grade levels
- Teachers’ names & how many classes
- Will your group visit the gift shop?
- Is your group making sand art? ($2 per child)
- Will your group eat lunch at the museum?
Space is limited. Reserve your Field Trip at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability.
