Tot Spot Renovations
Tot Spot Renovation
Tot Spot provides opportunities for children to learn about the world through play. Besides being fun, play offers interactive learning experiences children need in their early years to develop motor skills and lay the groundwork for math, reading, and creativity.
Tot Spot is being researched, designed, and fabricated by architecture students from the Ball State University School of Architecture and Planning. Much of the inspiration for the newly designed space came to students from children's books such as "The Giving Tree", "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "Scuffy the Tugboat". Children will be able to slide down a tree, climb through a caterpillar, make believe in a tug boat, and read in a hot air-balloon. Tot Spot will open later this year.
The Tot Spot renovation is close to being completed! The final group of Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning students will be opening the space for a reception on Friday, July 22, from 3 - 5 p.m.
